DHE Combined Merit Scholarship 2023

        The Directorate of Higher Education, Assam has issued an official notification regarding the Combined Merit Scholarship (Degree and Mater Degree) Scheme 2023-24. For this scholarship, eligible Degree and Master’s Degree students of Assam are able to submit their online applications. Other Details of Combined Merit Scholarship

For UG courses: To be eligible for this scholarship scheme the student must have a minimum of 60% marks in his/her Higher Secondary Final Examination.

For PG courses: To be eligible for this scholarship scheme the student must have a minimum of 60% marks in his/her General Degree Course.

Degree Type: Students pursuing an Undergraduate Degree and Master’s Degree courses in the Arts/ Science/ Commerce discipline in any recognized institution for the session 2023-24 are eligible for the schemes.

Domicile: The student must be a domicile of Assam.

Bank Account: The student should have a valid bank account (preferably in SBI) in his own name. Bank account details have to be submitted while submitting the online application.

Selection Process: The student will be selected strictly on the basis of merit in all respects and will also be restricted as per the budget allocation.

How to Apply for DHE Combined Merit Scholarship?

Students who fulfil all the required eligibility criteria as per the official notification of DHE, Assam can submit their online applications for this scholarship scheme on the official portal. After the successful filing of online applications, students will have to take a printout of the acknowledgement and submit it along with the required documents to the Registrar/ Principal/ Head of the Institute.   • After logging in, you have to complete all the given steps by providing your correct information.

Selection Process of Assam Direct Recruitment

        The commission will conduct separate examinations to select the candidates for different types of posts. The examinations shall be held separately on different dates as follows so as to enable higher degree holders to appear in more than one examination. More details about the selection process will be updated later in this section.

Written Examination

        As a first step of the selection process, the State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) will conduct a written examination which will be known as the Assam Direct Recruitment Examination (ADRE). Note that the syllabus for each category of the posts will be different and the proper details will be notified in this section after the issue of the official notification.

Interview or Skill Test

        The candidates shortlisted based on their performance in the written examination will be called for the second stage of the selection process. In the second step, the SLRC may conduct an interview or a skill test based on the type of posts. The details of the interview or the skill test will be notified separately after the declaration of the written exam results and the same will be updated here.

Merit List

        On the basis of the marks obtained in the written examination and the interview or the skill test, a list of shortlisted candidates shall be prepared in order of merit. The commission shall determine minimum qualifying marks for computer tests/ other tests/ practical tests. Candidates securing less than the qualifying marks in the computer test/ other test/ practical test shall not be eligible for selection.

Educational Qualification: Candidates who have a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Commerce, Science or equivalent stream from a recognized College/ Institution affiliated with a recognized University are eligible.

Pass Certificate of Instructor Course from National Civil Defence College, Nagpur/ NDRF Academy, Nagpur).

Educational Qualification: Candidates who have successfully passed the HSLC or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board or Council are eligible.

Other Qualification: Candidates must also possess the following qualifications in order to submit their online applications for this recruitment.

Pass Certificate of Instructor Course from National Civil Defence College, Nagpur/NDRF Academy, Nagpur)

Pass Certificate of Elementary Fire Service Training or any other advance Civil Defence Course from National Civil Defence College, Nagpur or any other institute recognized by the Govt. of India.

Pay Scale: Pay Band-2, Rs.14,000-60,500 plus Grade Pay of Rs.5,600.

Other Details of CDHG Recruitment

Age Limit: The candidate’s age should not be less than 21 years and not more than 40 years as on 1st January 2023. Candidate must be born on or before 1st January 2002 and on or after 1st January 1983.

Age Relaxation: Category wise upper age relaxation will be as follows.

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian Citizens and permanent residents of Assam.

Employment Exchange: Candidates must register his/ her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.

Language: Candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
